I am, was, and always will be a Marine,
as many others have before me.
This isn't something I planned on.
It's just, at some point in my life, it happened.
An unexplained feeling that, just maybe,
for a short time, I could be better than the sum of my parts.
And as far as history and tradition go,
Marines are second to none.
In this world there are very few ideals we can cling to.
Yet the Marines have remained steadfast and pure since their inception.
Though the Marines may or may not be the "best",
you will find that whenever the "best" are discussed,
Then inevitably, so are the Marines.
